Community Guidelines

Last updated: 3 May 2026

Moveera is a place to find local fitness events and the communities behind them. These guidelines exist so it stays welcoming for everyone — beginners, regulars, and hosts alike.

What we expect

By using Moveera you agree to:

  • Be respectful. Treat hosts, attendees, and other members the way you would treat them in person.
  • Show up as yourself. Use a real display name and a profile photo of you. Impersonation isn't allowed.
  • Keep it safe. Don't post anything that puts another person at risk — physically, emotionally, or financially.

What we don't allow

The following are removed on sight, and may result in your account being suspended or banned:

  • Hate speech and slurs — language attacking people for their race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, gender, disability, or any protected characteristic.
  • Harassment and bullying — repeated unwanted contact, threats, intimidation, or coordinated targeting of an individual.
  • Sexual content — nudity, sexually explicit messages, or content involving minors. Zero tolerance.
  • Violence and self-harm — promoting or glorifying violence against yourself or others.
  • Illegal activity — buying, selling, or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, or any criminal activity.
  • Spam and scams — bulk promotion, phishing, fake events, fraud.
  • Doxxing — sharing someone's private information (address, phone number, workplace) without their consent.

How we enforce this

Moveera includes:

  • A profanity filter that blocks the most-objectionable language at the point of posting.
  • A Report button on every user profile, event, community, and chat message — accessible by long-pressing or tapping the menu icon.
  • A Block feature that prevents another user from seeing your profile, messaging you, or appearing in your chats.

Reports go to a queue reviewed daily by the Moveera team. We respond to reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Severe cases (threats, child safety, illegal activity) get same-day attention and are escalated to law enforcement where appropriate.

How to report something

In the app, tap the menu icon (•••) on any user profile, event, community, or long-press a chat message. Choose a reason and add detail.

Outside the app, or for urgent issues, email support@moveera.com.au. Please include:

  • A description of what happened
  • A screenshot or link if you have one
  • The username of the account involved

Hosts and community admins

If you run a community on Moveera you have additional responsibility:

  • Moderate your own chat. Remove members who break these guidelines.
  • Vet your event descriptions. Don't promote events that violate these rules.
  • Respond to attendee concerns in good faith.

Hosts who repeatedly fail to moderate their communities may have their hosting privileges revoked.

Appeals

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake, email support@moveera.com.au with the details. We'll review and respond within two business days.

Updates to these guidelines

We may update these guidelines as the platform grows. Material changes will be announced in-app.
